Breaking News: Warwick Marxists say claims that Labour has a problem with Anti-Semitism are ‘fabricated lies’

With the various incidents of alleged and admitted anti-semitism within the Labour party, the Warwick Marxists have taken a rather striking position on the matter, by claiming in a recent Facebook post that:

“…the idea that there exists a deep problem of anti-semitism in the Labour Party is a fabricated lie by the Blairites and the Establishment aimed at discrediting Corbyn's leadership”

This same Facebook post shares an article which suggests that claims of anti-semitism within Labour are “non-news”, “entirely fabricated”, and "an outcry over nothing".

The head of the Warwick Marxists, Thomas Soud, personally gave his view on the matter by sharing another article, which again suggested that the claims of anti-semitism in Labour are a result of a 'coordinated smear campaign by Blairites'. Soud later replied to some critical comments on his post, saying that:

“[Labour is] the least anti-semitic political party in Britain” and that “…the attacks on Corbyn are not from a genuine motive to create a more hospitable environment for Jewish people, but instead are calculated political attacks to remove the Corbyn leadership”.

Responding directly to the comments made by Soud, Social Secretary of the Jewish Israeli Society Warwick, Zak Wagman, wrote that:

“…honestly I think it’s insulting and disrespectful that you think our community’s very real worry about anti-semitism in the Labour Party is just a ‘calculated political attack’ used for ‘political capital’” and “I appreciate you taking the time for the long response… but I think it’s grossly disrespectful to one of the UK’s religious minorities.”.

The Eye wonders whether insisting incidents of anti-semitism in Labour are smears by 'Blairites and the Establishment', in a manner more befitting conspiracy theorists, is the best way to deal with the ongoing anti-semitism crisis.
